As he grew up, his cousin Wyatt gave in to evil instead and took over the world. Feeling that Wyatt somehow took a bullet meant for him, Chris went back in time to save the man who was like a brother to him. This had the difficult and unfortunate side-effect of unbinding his powers. In the past, he lied his ass off and said he was under a demon under powerful magical contract with forces of good magic in the future where they intended to fight brutality with brutality. It isn't swallowed too easily, but by the time that Chris helps the Charmed Ones defeat the Titans, they are willing to give him a trial basis as an offbrand whitelighter. Chris never sends Leo to Valhalla, knowing his blood would make him a prime suspect in his disappearance, and instead casts a spell to keep Leo from paying attention to his antics. In a twist of fate, Leo is the first to find out about Chris's heritage when Chris is forced to pull Cole from the void between life and death in order to make sure he is conceived. Piper then catches them trying to make a lust potion, Paige follows by hearing Chris wish for his parents to "sleep together," and Phoebe is told after she becomes pregnant. Gideon is still after Wyatt, and the sisters are still terrible to Chris and it only slightly lessens after they find out who he is. Some things just don't change. |
